About us

In addition to its research activities, the Chair of Banking and Financial Services offers Bachelor's and Master's courses on banking-related topics.

The aim of the training is to optimally prepare the students for future management tasks in the banking industry. The requirements for an optimal education result from the requirements of the practice to graduates of the subject banking industry. The professional world demands a training of the students oriented to the problems of the reality as well as the mediation of methodical, social, personal and technical knowledge and abilities.

The chair satisfies these requirements by offering additional banking events in lectures and seminars, which regularly take place in cooperation with banks and financial services companies, and also offers additional events that go beyond the normal university offer. The chair is supported by the Stiftung Kreditwirtschaft.

In order to meet today's demands of the business world, the chair offers its events predominantly in English. We also encourage students to strengthen their international competence in seminar and graduation work.

Our research interests include classic banking topics as well as current financial sectors. To this end, the department has set up an independent exchange research office in cooperation with the Stuttgart Stock Exchange.
