General Information:

In our seminars, specific topics from the world of banking are discussed. It is providing you with the opportunity to analyze different point of views of a certain seminar-topic. A seminar is offered every summer semester.

Recent Announcement: In the upcoming summer term 2023, the Chair of Banking and Financial Services will offer a combined seminar for Bachelor- and Master-students. The kick-off-meeting will take place on 15 February 2023 at 16:00 in HS 36. Attendance requirements (do not apply during digital teaching):

Master: One passed exam (at least 6 ECTS) in the major subject "Banking & Finance" respectively "Management of Financial Institutions"; Application under reserve is possible if the exam is passed in the following examination period.


Diploma: At least one passed exam from the major subject.

Bachelor: At least one passed exam from the major subject "Banking & Finance".


Credit requirements: 

To acquire the credits for the course there are three requirements:                                                                     

1. written work (15-18 pages)  

2. presentation

3. oral participation


Literature:

Dependent on the certain topic; topics will be announced in due time.

In the upcoming summer semester of 2024, the Chair of Banking and Financial Services is offering a combined Bachelor's and Master's seminar on the topic of early-stage financing.

The introductory session will take place on

January 22, 2024, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm in Lecture Hall 32 at the University of Hohenheim.

 

The time schedule for the seminar is as follows:

  1. Choose 3 preferences in ILIAS by 5th February 2024, 11:59 pm 
  2. Submit registration form via ILIAS by 5th February 2024, 11:59 pm 
  3. You will be assigned a topic and supervisor by 9th February 2024
  4. Schedule an individual meeting with your supervisor
  5. Submit the seminar paper by 12th May 2024, 11:59 pm via ILIAS
  6. Submit the presentation by 1st July 2024, 11:59 pm via ILIAS
  7. Presentations will take place on 4th and 5th July 2024
