Brown Bag Seminar
Brown Bag Seminar Finance - Summer Term 2024
Course Description:
In the Brown Bag seminar, doctoral students and postdocs from the University of Hohenheim our partners present their ongoing work and get feedback from other junior researchers and faculty members. Presented work can either be empirical or theoretical, but should have a finance focus.
Note that the emphasis of this seminar is on informal debate and an exchange of views and ideas. The presentation of preliminary research ideas is just as welcome as the presentation of developed papers. This seminar can also serve as a platform to prepare doctoral students for a conference presentation or for their thesis defense. Finally, we hope that, with this seminar, students and faculty members will have a better notion of the research taking place in our faculty.
Modalities:
The Brown Bag seminar will take place on Thursdays between 12:00 and 14:00 on campus at the University of Hohenheim in HS 32. Immediately after the presentation, each presenter will receive individual feedback on the presentation by the course participants.
Presentation slots are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you wish to present, we are happy to organize an individual date with you. In this case, please send an email with your preferred dates and the title of your presentation to jonas.hurm@uni-hohenheim.de.
Since the seminar takes place during lunch time and you are very welcome to bring some food, hence the name Brown Bag.
